I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping others address their mental health. I hold a bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s in Social Work. My work experience includes working at non-profit organizations with homeless veterans dealing with mental health issues, in school settings working with children and teens, and in a hospital setting working with adults and elderly.
I believe that being first generation Latina as well as being a military spouse whose husband was recently medically retired from the Navy gives me the opportunity to understand others from a different perspective. Additionally, I am a Christian and believe that during difficult times turning to Higher power can help lessen the pain that mental illness brings.
My therapeutic approach is to collaborate with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment issues, and relationship issues to help them learn coping skills through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).
