MEET

Hello/Halito,

My name is Rhonda Garone. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, supervised by Valerie Doyle, LMFT. I bring over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field assisting couples, families, and individuals of all ages. Would you like to learn strategies to help you and your partner call each other back to a new place of intimacy? Would you like to identify the real pain points in your relationship and regain trust? Would you like to learn to better
understand trauma, and its triggers and move toward a more fulfilling relationship? These are a few of several areas I may assist and help change the narratives of couples and families today.

Many of us have had and are still recovering from the effects of the recent pandemic. Depression, anxiety, stress, grief, loss, and isolation may continue to have an impact on our daily lives. Tensions may have increased in couples and families. I am fortunate to be able to expand my services via telehealth. Staying connected to others and having someone to speak with in a safe space in the comfort of your home are both important to improve mental health and maintain
mental wellness.

My approach is eclectic and holistic. I am compassionate, friendly, empathetic, accepting, and non-judgmental. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for my clients. I am a Native American Indian from the Choctaw Tribe. I have worked with clients from a variety of tribes. I have a deep understanding of historical trauma, PTSD, attachment/bonding troubles, addictions, self-harm, and, suicidal ideations with this population as well as other populations.

I am trained in DBT, EFT, EMDR, ASIST, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, 1-2-3 Magic Parenting classes, Communication Skills, Anger Management, Substance Use Disorders, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, and more.

When I am not at work I enjoy spending time at my cabin in the mountains with my family and two Chihuahuas. I attend plays, musicals, and concerts. I enjoy traveling, photography, and filming family videos. I play chess, and paint, and am currently learning to play the Native American flute.
I look forward to meeting you to see how I may encourage, guide, empower, and help you achieve a greater insight toward mental wellness.

Thank you/Yakoki,
Rhonda Garone, AMFT
